TouchPay Release Solutions

Say goodbye to writing checks and paying out inmate trust accounts with cash. Say hello to TouchPay's new automated Release Card!

TouchPay listens to the requests of our facilities and provides the solutions they are looking for. The TouchPay release solution (Q1-2008) is the first solution of its kind and sure to revolutionize the release procedures across the nation. Upon release, the inmate receives their trust fund money through the issuance of a pin based MasterCard-branded debit card, which means the card can be used at any of millions of ATMs and/or retailers that accept MasterCard debit cards. In addition, the card is reloadable, providing continued use of the convenient card system as long as the released offender chooses.

Release Process
Once the inmate is cleared for release and has been returned all their personal effects, the process starts by having the inmate enter his inmate ID number into the TouchPay ezPay terminal located at the release desk. TouchPay will confirm the amount in the inmates trust account and activate the card by swiping the card through the card reader. The inmate will then enter a unique pin number known only to the cardholder, which finalizes the transaction. The card is activated and the inmate number, funds available from the trust account, card number and pin number are all transferred to the card processor. The cardholder then has cardholder rights as are available to any cardholder per MasterCard regulations.
